Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 Travel Guide: Where to Stay
Las Vegas Grand Prix · Las Vegas, Nevada
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is the race where hotel choice can matter almost as much as grandstand choice. The 2026 weekend runs November 19–21, with Formula 1 racing through the Las Vegas Strip Circuit and past some of the city's biggest resorts.
This is an obvious bachelor-party or friends-trip candidate, but it is easy to overspend and over-schedule. The best version keeps the hotel, race zone, nightlife, and recovery time intentionally close together.
Quick trip facts
- Race weekend: November 19–21, 2026
- Race: late Saturday night in Las Vegas / early Sunday UTC
- Circuit: Las Vegas Strip Circuit
- Best airport: Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
- Best trip length: 3–4 nights
- Best for: nightlife, premium hospitality, bachelor groups, and travelers who want minimal separation between race and entertainment
Where to stay
Central Strip
Best for groups that want to walk to restaurants, casinos, and nightlife and potentially stay inside or beside the circuit footprint. Price is the obvious downside.
North / northeast Strip
Can work well depending on ticket location, especially around the Sphere and nearby resorts. Check pedestrian bridges and race-week closures rather than choosing by map distance alone.
South Strip
Often broader hotel inventory and potentially lower pricing, but the group may spend more time moving toward race zones and nightlife.
Off-Strip
Useful for budget control, but be sure the savings justify additional transport friction during a weekend with major road closures.
The race changes how the Strip works
This is a street circuit, not a normal Vegas weekend. Roads that would ordinarily be simple taxi routes become track infrastructure, controlled crossings, grandstands, and hospitality areas.
Before arrival, match the hotel to the ticket zone and pedestrian access plan. A resort that looks one block away may require a much longer walk once track boundaries are in place.
Because the sessions happen late, plan the group's sleep schedule. Friday and Saturday should not also be the two biggest club nights unless everyone is comfortable sacrificing part of the race experience.
A realistic Vegas F1 itinerary
Thursday: Arrive, dinner, explore the circuit area, and keep the first night moderate.
Friday: Practice sessions plus one planned nightlife activity afterward.
Saturday: Sleep in, pool/spa or brunch, qualifying/race-day build-up, then the Grand Prix. Let the race be the night out.
Sunday: Late brunch, sportsbook, spa, show, or a relaxed day before evening departures.
Control the group budget before Vegas controls it
Vegas has an unusually wide spend range. Set the shared assumptions before booking:
- race ticket level
- maximum hotel price per person
- whether rooms are shared and how
- one premium dinner vs. multiple
- club/table budget, if any
- gambling is individual spending, not group-trip spending
That last distinction sounds obvious, but separating shared and personal costs keeps the organizer from becoming the group's accountant.
Compare Strip hotels, flights, race zones, and shared costs before everyone books separately →More late-season races
Compare the easier domestic logistics of Austin, or continue to Qatar and Abu Dhabi for the season-ending run.
