Help & User Guide

Everything you need to plan your group trip on Claira.

Getting started

1

Create a trip

Click 'Plan a trip' on the home page. Give your trip a name, choose a vibe (bachelorette, friends trip, family, etc.), set your travel dates, and choose how many people are coming. Hit 'Create trip' — your trip dashboard is ready instantly.

2

Invite your group

Go to the Invite tab inside your trip. Copy the invite link and send it however you like — text, WhatsApp, email, group chat. Your friends join with one tap. They'll need to create a free account to vote and contribute.

3

Fill in your preferences

Go to Preferences and enter your home city (for flight search), budget range, food preferences, and activity interests. The more your group fills in, the better Claira's suggestions will be.

Voting & decisions

1

Vote on destinations

Go to the Results tab. Each member votes Love (❤), Maybe (~), or No (✕) on proposed destinations. See the group's votes in real time. When everyone's voted, the trip owner locks in the winner.

2

Vote on dates

Go to the Dates tab. The trip owner proposes a few date ranges — for example 'July 4–7' or 'July 11–14'. Members vote on which works for them. The owner confirms the dates that work for most people.

3

Vote on restaurants and activities

In the Dining and Activities tabs, every result has Love/Maybe/No vote buttons. Voting helps the group surface what everyone's actually excited about before building the day-by-day plan.

Finding flights, dining & activities

1

Flights

Once you've added your home city in Preferences, go to the Flights tab. Claira searches real flights for each member's origin city and groups them by departure city. Each card shows price, duration, stops, and a booking link.

2

Restaurants

The Dining tab shows real restaurants for your destination pulled from Google Places. Use the filter chips at the top to browse by cuisine — Italian, Seafood, Brunch, Fine Dining, Wine Bar, and more. Vote on the ones that look good.

3

Activities

The Activities tab works the same way. Filter by type — Outdoor, Museums, Art, Markets, Spa, Cooking Classes, Shopping, and more. Each card shows ratings, a description, and a link for more info.

4

Multi-city dining and activities

If your trip has multiple stops, go to the Stops tab. Click 'Search dining & activities' on each stop to get results specific to that city. The Dining and Activities tabs show city filter chips so you can browse by stop.

Building your itinerary

1

Assign items to days

On any flight, restaurant, hotel, or activity card, click '+ Add to day'. Pick the day you want it on. You can also set an optional time (e.g. 19:30) and label (e.g. 'Dinner reservation'). Items sort chronologically within each day card.

2

Add custom items

On any day card in the Itinerary tab, click '+ Add item'. Choose a category — Fitness, Personal, Food, Rest, Transport, Work, or Other — then add a title and optional time. Great for workouts, visiting family, free time, and anything else that doesn't fit the search results.

3

Add inter-city transport

For trains, rental cars, ferries, and other transport between cities, use '+ Add item' → Transport on the travel day. Enter the route and departure time and it appears on that day card.

4

Budget summary

The Itinerary tab shows a budget summary above the day cards. It totals the estimated cost of assigned flights, hotels, and activities, calculates a per-person estimate, and compares it to your group's stated budget.

Adding your own bookings

1

Import from a confirmation email

On any tab (Flights, Hotels, Dining, Activities), click '📧 Import from confirmation email'. Paste the text from your booking confirmation — or upload the PDF. Claira reads it and extracts the airline, dates, confirmation code, price, and everything else. Review the details and hit Save.

2

Enter details manually

On any tab, click '+ Enter details manually'. Choose the booking type (flight, hotel, dining, activity), fill in the details, and save. The confirmation code is stored and shown to all group members so anyone can reference it.

3

Bookings on day cards

Manual bookings can be assigned to days the same way as search results — click '+ Add to day' on any booking card. They appear on the day card with a ✓ Confirmed badge.

Multi-stop trips

1

Add stops

Go to the Stops tab inside your trip. Click '+ Add stop', enter a city name, and set the arrival and departure dates for that city. Add as many stops as you need — Madrid, then Rome, then Naples, then Geneva.

2

Search per city

Once stops are added, each stop card has a 'Search dining & activities in [City]' button. Click it to pull in restaurants and activities specific to that city. These appear in the Dining and Activities tabs filterable by city.

3

City badges on day cards

Once stops have dates assigned, each day card automatically shows a colored city badge (📍 Madrid, 📍 Rome, etc.) so the itinerary is easy to read at a glance.

4

Reorder stops

Plans change. Hover over any stop card to reveal the grip handle (⠿) in the top right corner. Drag it up or down to reorder. The change saves automatically.
