How Claira researches and updates travel content
Claira publishes planning content to help groups make better travel decisions, not to create the appearance of certainty where travel information changes quickly. This page explains how we handle sources, estimates, updates, commercial relationships, and corrections.
Official sources first
For facts that can materially affect a trip — event dates, venue locations, resort operations, transport rules, ticket policies, airport access, and entry requirements — Claira prioritizes the organizer, venue, resort, operator, government, or tourism authority responsible for the information.
Planning estimates are labeled
A planning example is not a live quote. When Claira uses example airfare, lodging, food, transport, activity, or nightlife assumptions, the page identifies them as estimates, scenarios, or editable planning inputs. Travelers should replace them with current quotes for their dates and group.
Group fit matters more than generic popularity
Claira evaluates destinations through group-specific constraints such as mixed budgets, different departure airports, lodging configuration, transfer friction, non-participant options, activity intensity, and the risk that one organizer absorbs all of the work.
Commercial links do not determine the conclusion
Some Claira pages contain hotel, activity, or other booking links that may earn Claira a commission. Commercial availability can influence which booking options can be surfaced, but it does not change the editorial explanation of destination fit, logistics, tradeoffs, or risks.
Verification and update dates
Researched MDX guides display a Last verified date. That date represents the latest substantive review of the guide or its time-sensitive planning assumptions. We do not change dates solely to make an older page look fresh.
Cost models and benchmark articles
Claira cost tools separate fixed shared costs from individual traveler costs. A benchmark article may apply one standardized model across several destinations so readers can understand how assumptions change the result. These comparisons are planning benchmarks, not a survey of current market prices and not a promise that a trip can be booked for the modeled amount.
Software-assisted research and drafting
Claira may use software-assisted research, calculations, and drafting to organize information and compare planning scenarios. The goal is to make the assumptions and source hierarchy visible so readers can distinguish verified facts from modeled guidance and make their own booking decisions.
Corrections
