Near Interlagos
Only consider this if reducing circuit travel is the dominant priority. Most leisure groups will get more from staying in a central neighborhood and planning the commute properly.
Getting to Interlagos
The circuit is in the southern part of the city. Race-week public transport, especially rail connections toward Autódromo station, can be more practical than sitting in road traffic. Official recommendations can change, so check the current promoter instructions for your grandstand and entry route.
São Paulo is a city where “we'll just call a car” is not a complete race plan. Put the outbound route, expected transfer point, and post-race meeting point in the itinerary before Sunday.
A São Paulo F1 itinerary
Thursday: Arrive, settle into Jardins, Pinheiros, or Itaim, and keep dinner close.
Friday: Practice at Interlagos. Use this lower-stakes day to understand the commute and your gate.
Saturday: Qualifying, then a good dinner without overcommitting to a late night.
Sunday: Race day. Leave early and expect the trip home to take patience.
Monday: Paulista Avenue, Ibirapuera Park, museums, or a food-focused recovery day before departure.

As in any huge city, neighborhood and time-of-day awareness matter. Keep phones and valuables controlled in crowded areas, use reputable transport options, and avoid having six people independently improvise late-night rides from unfamiliar locations.
