Delete Your Account

You can delete your Claira account and all your data at any time.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove all data associated with it, including:

  • Your account profile and email address.
  • All trips you created, including destinations, dates, votes, and itineraries.
  • Your travel preferences, budget ranges, and home city.
  • All bookings, confirmation emails, and receipts you imported.
  • Your trip membership records and any votes or comments you made.
  • Push notification subscriptions.

Trip data you created may remain visible to invited members until those trips are also deleted. Members you invited retain their own accounts and their own content.

Option 1 — Delete in the app

  1. 1Sign in to Claira.
  2. 2Tap your account icon or go to Account Settings.
  3. 3Scroll to the Danger zone section.
  4. 4Tap Delete my account.
  5. 5Type "delete my account" to confirm and tap Permanently delete account.

Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us at hello@getclaira.app with the subject line Account deletion request from the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Retention after deletion

We delete your data immediately upon in-app deletion or within 30 days of an emailed request. We may retain minimal records required by law (for example, transaction records for accounting purposes) for up to 7 years, after which those records are also deleted. These retained records do not include your travel data, preferences, or itineraries.
